The Old Swan and Minster Mill is an authentic and luxurious inn and country house hotel tucked away in the most romantic and historic corner of the Cotswolds between Burford and Witney. At the very heart of the village of Old Minster near Minster Lovell and alongside the beautiful and famous River Windrush, set in 65 acres of magical gardens, wild flower meadows and woodland, the inn is close to Oxford, Cheltenham, Swindon, 90 minutes from London, 60 minutes from the Midlands. It's the perfect spot to escape the city and explore the Cotswolds area of outstanding natural beauty. The hotel is owned by the de Savary family and has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment on both the properties and all the grounds.The Old Swan & Minster Mill captures the charm of bygone years, throw in a good measure of modern convenience, add to it the laid-back atmosphere of the gastro-pub inspired dining room and log-fired bar and you'll feel like there's no place like it. Offering both luxurious accommodation with great character in the Old Swan and more modest in terms of size and contemporary style at Minster Mill, all 56 bedrooms are well thought out and offer modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi, DDI telephones and flat screen TV's. The Old Swan comprises 15 magical guest rooms and suites. The adjoining Minster Mill has 38 contemporary bedrooms. We also have a beautifully restored Victorian Cottage for let with 3 en-suite bedrooms,private garden, kitchen and lounge. The Old Swan & Minster Mill can be reserved for exclusive use.The 6 function rooms are ideally located in the Cotswold stone buildings of Minster Mill. All rooms can be accessed by private entrance and retain much of the period charm of the location including exposed wooden beams and picture windows to the gardens and River Windrush. There are three main function spaces for up to 55 delegates, The Malthouse, The Barn and The Oak Room. Each is light and spacious and fully restored with modern furnishings and facilities. Each of the three areas is self-contained with a reception, refreshment areas and additional meeting / syndicate rooms.A range of activities are available to enhance any event including our de Savary Duck Race on the River Windrush. The extensive grounds are ideal for team building. Other activities include fly fishing, croquet, Yon-Ka spa treatments, tennis, gymnasium and volleyball. Golf and horse-riding can be booked nearby.
