The Paramount is a great value for tourists looking to stay downtown, in a relatively luxurious room, without paying a massive price. This property is elegant without being over-the-top. The lobby greats you with high ceilings, chandelier details, and comfortable seating. The sleeping rooms are especially spacious (400-450 square feet) with current interiors and impressively opulent bathrooms. The hotel does not offer many amenities (besides their on-site Asian Fusion restaurant) but with their great location, nothing else is really needed that cannot be found a short walk away. In conclusion, this is a good option for nearly any group - lovely while still being kid, family, and budget friendly. If you intend to host an event or otherwise spend a lot of time in your hotel, there are better options downtown... but if all you want is a lot of in-room space and luxury, while enjoying a prime tourism location at a surprisingly low price, this is a good hotel for you.

Pros: convenient to downtown Portland, room seemed clean enough and the heat/AC responsive to adjustments. Bed was comfortable. Water pressure and temp were good. Front desk staff was professional and efficient. Appreciate the shower cap which I don't always see in hotels anymore. Cons: Little thing, but I don't like showering in tubs anymore at my age and prefer a walk in shower. I don't trust the rubber mats since they can sometimes shift around. The lobby and especially the attached restaurant where I ate breakfast had the pervasive smell of mildew (or worse). Perhaps that is a Portland thing, but it was very off putting until I got used to it. The breakfast was okay. Nothing to rave about, but seemed reasonably priced, although there was no one there when I entered and I had to wait a while for someone to show up. Overall, it was okay.

The Paramount Hotel is a 3.5 star boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Portland; steps to shopping, dining, entertainment and cultural venues. The Hotel features an exquisite atrium lobby, stylish guest rooms, opulent baths, Northwest cuisine and the perfect heart-of-downtown location. Guest rooms are 325-450 square feet and feature windows that open to the fresh Northwest air! Complimentary 24 hour access business center w/ high speed internet access, complimentary high speed wireless internet access in all guest rooms, in-room personal guest refrigerators, complimentary fitness center. We have two meeting rooms, each at 650 square feet. Both meeting rooms have a set of French doors that open to the outdoors. Discover a hotel as personable as Portland.
