Named after the Phipps family who so generously donated land to the city of West Palm Beach, FL, Phipps Ocean Park is one of the many recreational facilities available to citizens of and visitors to the Florida Atlantic Coast. This 38-acre park is located at South Dixie Highway and Pine Terrace, just a short distance away from I-95.Phipps Park, which is open from dawn to dusk, features fields for soccer, baseball, and even tee ball. Both adult and youth teams can be found playing on the well-kept grounds. Also located on the grounds is the Sanctuary Skate Park, an aptly-named area where bikers, skateboarders, and in-line skaters can take to the paths and ramps. This is truly a skater's sanctuary, thanks to features like a mini ramp, quarterpipes, ledges, and rails.Phipps Ocean Park is a wonderful place to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. With the breeze coming off the Atlantic Ocean, every day at the park can feel like a mini-vacation.
