Palm Beach started out as a resort created by Henry Morrison Flagler. However, when the luxury resort was created, it brought with it a variety of other businesses. The resort and these other businesses needed employees, bringing new residents to the area. Over the years, the city has enticed new residents with work options, the beautiful seascape, and the warm climate.
Many famous people have made Palm Beach their home throughout the years. From politicians to sports stars and entertainers, some of your favorites may have lived in the city. Singer Jimmy Buffett lived in Palm Beach, and Michael Jackson lived in the city from 2003 to 2005. The Kennedy family made their homes in Palm beach, as well. Major League Baseball pitcher Rich Barnes and tennis player Serena Williams also lived here.
