The TRYP Ambassador hotel is situated in Madrid's historical city center, the “Austria's” Madrid. The hotel is only a few minutes walk away from the Royal Palace, the Royal Opera House, the Almudena Cathedral and the Plaza de Oriente. It occupies an old Palace which belonged to the Dukes of Granada de Ega and the old Convent of the Santo Domingo monks and although the buildings' original structure has been maintained, the hotel offers all the necessary modern facilities.The Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Gran Vía, which are only a few minutes walking from the hotel cater for those who enjoy shopping, eating, theatre, cinema and musicals. The Prado Museum, the Thyssen Bornemisza and the Reina Sofía are also only a few underground stops away. A public parking, gym… with special prices for hotel clients can be found right beside the hotel. Other sporting activities, car rentals and day trips to landmarks such as Toledo, El Escorial and Segovia can all be organised from the hotel Front Desk.
