We have stayed at the George Washington Hotel several times and are always so happy to be there. It is attractive, comfortable, the staff is helpful and inviting. Elegant and beautiful pool! I highly recommend this hotel!

You probably will not want to see what I have to say. First of all when I called I 800 number and booked reservation for myself and husband and my sister and her husband. I was not informed that booking that way I was paying more than half again. We are all four seniors with not unlimited income. I thought when I got to the hotel they would make that right. Not only did they not make it right but they charged me again for my room even though I told the front desk my room was prepaid. He said prereserved and I said no prepaid. When I tried to check out on the 13th they charged me again. When I requested that they take it off my credit card they informed me that they could not do that, there was nobody there that could help and someone would call me. That did not work for me, but eventually I had to go and get back home and leave. Someone did call the next day but was not very understanding of what had happened. My sister is 84 and she got so upset and starting crying. The visit with my sister was wonderful but all the years I have stayed at hotels this was the worst. When I made the reservations, I ask for a king size bed for me and my husband I did not get that. I ask for adjoining rooms, they put us on second and forth floor. My sister had her room changed to the second floor when she got there. When my husband was trying to get our car out of the garage, the lady at the front desk was very rude when we did not understand when she first described the process. Of course at that point she had not showed us the badge to get out. It was unbelievable. I guess I can not express to you how bad it was. I guess I don't expect you to do anything about it after what we saw at the hotel. As a side note when you call the 833 number the people that answer do not respond. One day I spent three hours trying to get the front desk number at the hotel. My brother in law has medicine that needs refrigeration and all I wanted to do was to see if they had a fridge in the room. They would promise to send me the front desk number by text, which I waited on and they did not. I finally said if you have the number please just give it to me because you are not texting to me. It was all unbelievable.

We stayed here three years ago and this recent stay. Loved being able to walk to local restaurants and shops. Disappointed the restaurant was closed as we enjoyed the food and bar. Music at bar on main level too loud on Friday. Staff are wonderful and accommodating. Enjoyed spa treatments.

My issue is with the hotel booking site… booked with them but the confirmation never went to the George Washington hotel. The George Washington hotel staff were very kind and tried to get the hotel company to give me a refund… still haven't received it from hotel booking company. Don't trust this company.

The room was lovely and clean. Very comfortable bed but shower could have used a hand rail for safety. The lobby snd guest services was great. Loved there was coffee and tea but decaf coffee would have been nice.

This is a beautiful hotel. The mural in the bar is so cool, it makes you want to stop and have a drink! The staff was excellent, room large and comfortable and very close to the pedestrian area of Winchester. I hope I will have reason to come back and stay again.
