I cannot believe local authorities have not closed this hotel?everything is run down and dirty?nothing works?room smells of cleaning chemicals and sheets smell from being laundered?but couldn't screw up the early morning sunrise over the ocean?avoid until totally renovated?rooms are ten years past due.

The food in the Cabana was terrible. The floors were covered with food and trash under the tables. We had happy are in our front Ed green tomatoes and our burgers were over cooked. The service was non existent.

I'm traveling alone and found the staff to be very nice and helpful. Beach was quiet and clean. View from Oceanfront Tower room spectacular. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Ocean One restaurant was delicious. Cabana bar so nice for cocktails. I will definitely return.

Came for a wedding 4/22/22 and booked the ocean front room. The staff I encountered were lovely and accommodating when we asked if our room was available around 315pm to see if we could use it for prep before the wedding at 5pm. We were graciously allowed in when we were told it was ready about 340 and happily went to our room. 133. I was disappointed to see our balcony was open to the dune and right next to the walkway to allow anyone walking to or from the beach can see directly into our room from a wide range of the walkway. All of this to look at the view to be below the dunes and unable to see the shore at all, just the dunes and the walkway with a little bit of the ocean in the horizon way off the shoreline. We walked into the room to find a dirty towel on the floor, like it maybe fell off of the cart or maybe it was just missed in the shuffle Of cleaning, but it was all combined to be just a sub par experience for the $200+ for the night. The front desk at check in and check out were lovely! Just not at all pleased with the room and when we got in to look around we immediately called back to see if an upstairs room was available but we weren't contacted back before we had to leave for the wedding and there was no follow up by the time we got back so we just dealt with it for the night as it was late.

Our room had mildew in the air conditioner and on the glass of pictures in the room. This isn't hard to clean. The mattress was old, so it sagged in the middle. We were very disappointed in this hotel not as advertised!

We had awesome service and the location was right on the beach. Our room was very small, the A/C did not stay in throughout the night and the carpet was not ideal for a beach front property. Our friends had a room on the opposite side of the property and their experience was better. They had hardwood floors, large rooms and a working A/C unit for the exact same price that I was paying. Very disappointing. If they are not going to upgrade the side of the property that my room was on, then they should adjust the pricing.

The Litchfield Inn is a quaint vintage style beachfront property. The location is perfect and the beachfront is beautiful. Our unit was clean but could use some updating especially in the bathroom. The tub is a fiberglass insert that appears to be 20 plus years old. The water from the shower would turn hot at different times during your shower and could scald especially if washing your face. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were very hard compared to my down pillows. My husband actually liked the pillows. The windows had wood blinds, so as soon as the sun came up, your room would become very bright. I am used to a dark room in the morning. It would be nice to add blackout window treatments for those wanting to sleep in. The bedside clock with docking station and the in room refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot were a nice touch. If you are an individual that is not in great shape, be sure to ask for a first floor unit or the a room in the Towers with an elevator. Our room was on the 3rd floor and required three trips up and down to get everything to our room. They do not have a bellman that I could see. The food at the Inn is wonderful and I would come to the Inn just for lunch or dinner. The breakfast is included and was just okay with self service cereals, instant oatmeal,yogurt, breads, peeled cold boiled eggs, coffee, milk and juices. I was told the units are individually owned so each unit can be different. I would definitely return but would ask for a more updated unit and one that is not on the 3rd floor without an elevator even though we are in good shape. The staff is very friendly and eager to help you with your needs. Overall this was a great stay.
