Situated in the thatched village of Wroxton and only three miles from the historic market town of Banbury. With parts dating back to 1649, the hotel retains all of its traditional charm yet offers the contemporary luxuries, personal service and award winning food one would expect from a country house hotel.Choose from traditional bedrooms in the main house or contemporary rooms in the new wing all designed to make your stay a rewarding experience. All rooms offer uncompromising comfort with writing desk, telephone, WiFi internet access, hair dryer and refreshment tray.There are two dedicated function rooms, ideal venues for corporate conferences, meetings, events, weddings and other family celebrations. The Broughton Room has recently been extended and refurbished and now boasts plenty of natural daylight, air conditioning and access to its own private terrace and garden. The Wroxton Room is situated in the main house and is perfect for smaller meetings and private lunches or dinners, it has many original features including a large oak framed window overlooking the hotel pond and a large stone fireplace.Our 2 AA rosette Restaurant '1649' offers the best fresh produce to create the finest cuisine, complemented by a selection of wines from around the world. A lighter menu is served in the lounge, in front of the log burning stove in winter or on the terrace in summer.
