"The sheets were clean."

I needed an emergency place to stay when my flight stranded me in Denver and if faced with the same circumstances, I guess would do it again. However.. I booked it through a third party at $99, showed up and was charged $50 at the front desk, which was never mentioned. And I was not given any logical explanation. It was not for shuttle service to the airport, because it's not offered. The property os moderately to just plain run down. There were two vending machines, one was broken. The only elevator was broken. The door handle to my room just dangled, but still worked. There was an ice bucket in the room, but no ice machine that I could find. The hot water was a rumor. I've stayed in worse places, don't get me wrong. It was relatively clean, saving it from one star review. But it is sorely in need of investment, even for a discount chain. Especially given the nice neighborhood. You get what you pay for. Plus a $50 surcharge.
