The Brandywine River Hotel is located in Chadds Ford off of Route 1, within minutes of many attractions like Longwood Gardens or Chaddsford Winery. The hotel is set back off the main road behind some shops, an art gallery and a restaurant called Brandywine Prime, Seafood and Chops. This is not your typical hotel more like a bed and breakfast atmosphere. They are small, charming, historic, European style with décor that reflects the country setting and captures the essence of the Brandywine Valley. Amenities include continental breakfast, afternoon tea with cookies, and complimentary parking-plenty of space for busses, fitness center and small meeting rooms. I would recommend this hotel to any leisure traveler especially weddings or bus groups.

The hotel was welcoming. Rooms were clean, comfortable and attractive. Front desk staff, Troy and Celso, were extremely pleasant and helpful. Right outside the hotel was a group of quaint shops that included a terrific bakery that hosted entertainment outside, adding to the charm of our stay at the hotel. Highly recommend.
