"Front desk challenges"

There were times when the front desk was empty, and sometimes the manager serviced the front desk, although he seemed less adept (the blame was put on their computer system). The rooms were a little small for a family, but adequate. It seemed frugally run, which is good for their cost reduction but, in my opinion, jeopardized the pleasant stay for guests. I think the manager would do better for the hotel to hire and train others to service the front desk (and set up breakfast), rather than trying to do as much as he could by himself.
