Town & Country Inn & Suites

As I drove up to the property, I did not expect what I was about to see. Although it is situated on a busy street, once inside the hotel, it was calm and serene. There is a Greek influence throughout the hotel, the restaurant is located conveniently to the lobby. The furnishings are simple but have the appearance of a library, beautiful tile floors. The front desk staff was very friendly and customers were sharing their wonderful experience. The General Manager was in the lobby graciously speaking with guests as well, always a nice touch. Although the restaurant, and lounge, are a little outdated, I was informed they will be going through an extensive renovation and will be upgraded. The hotel surrounds a very nice little courtyard with a swimming pool and would be great for small gatherings. The rooms were very nice. They had plush beds and linens, beautiful silk headboards and rich contemporary style furniture. Flat screen tv, iron, ironing board, and in room safe. The bathrooms were very classy with handmade vanities and granite counters. The rooms that I viewed all had nice wet bars with microwaves and refrigerators, full length custom made mirrors, and inset lighting. Overall the rooms were very plush, comfortable and classy. The function space was very nice with beautiful crystal chandeliers. I can see why this hotel hosts a lot of weddings. This hotel provides a very elegant atmosphere at an affordable price. The Town & Country is located West of the Ashley, on the southwest side of downtown Charleston. The location is convenient, however, Savannah Highway is a very busy road. There were not many restaurant options within walking distance, however, the traffic seemed to move efficiently enough and it didn't take long to travel to downtown. I would recommend this hotel to those looking for a higher end mid-scale hotel at an affordable price.
