Canada Place terminal is close to downtown Vancouver where visitors can find a range of shopping and dining options as well as attractions including Stanley Park and Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre. The terminal includes a five-star hotel and other accommodation options nearby. Ballantyne terminal is located slightly east of downtown Vancouver and several minutes away from Canada Place terminal. The terminal was modernized and updated in 1995 to better its cruise services.
Cruise season runs from May to September when visitors can best enjoy the parks, gardens, sightseeing options on offer in Vancouver. Popular activities include sports around the port area include ocean kayaking and river rafting, and there are also a number of international restaurants and golf clubs.
Passengers can arrive at the port by a number of ground transportation means. Both ports offer short term parking for those arriving by car, and Vinci Park in Canada Place can booked in advance for long term parking. Travelers flying in to Vancouver International Airport have the choice between shuttles, taxis and limousines to take them directly to the port.
