Great tourist hotel in the heart of Santa Barbara's historic downtown area. Has recently re-branded into a La Quinta, so the entire property has gone through a complete renovation and will continue until March 2014. Property has 68 rooms with either a king, 1 queen or 2 double beds and the option of interior or exterior corridors. There is a free continental hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi in all the rooms & public spaces, a fitness center, business center, local pantry style store, outdoor pool & jacuzzi and ample free parking. Everything is walking distance, lots of stores & shoppes, restaurants, short drive to the beach and other local attractions. Close to the 101 freeway.

"Price Gouging"

Due to fire scare we needed to bring two babies to safe place. Online fee was much lower than fee we were charged which is price gouging which is terrible in such a dire situation. Shame on Marriott! Also Jose at front desk was nasty and condesending..with his abrupt answers and nasty demeanor.
