"Philadelphia's Newest and Eco-Friendliest Hotel"

The Home2 Suites by Hilton is downtown Philadelphia's newest and most Eco-Friendly hotel located next to the PA Convention Center and
Reading Terminal Market right in the heart of city. You are only a short walk or cab ride to the historic attractions or museums. The lobby is spacious and very modern with clean lines, to the right is the front desk and left is sitting/breakfast area. Elevators are located in the middle; the indoor saline pool as well a large fitness center with free weights and laundry facilities are also on lobby level. There is a parking garage for hotel guests (additional fee) located right next door, just need to remember your ticket. All guest rooms are Suites either Studio or 1-bedroom with kitchens that have microwave, full fridge, dishwasher, garbage disposal, place settings but no stove; the hotel does have burners available upon request complimentary. Amenities also include comp WIFI, iHome docking station, flat panel TV and sleeper sofas. This is also one of the only pet friendly hotels in downtown Philadelphia. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful that I would recommend this hotel to any traveler whether on business or leisure; perfect for an
extended stay or for family travel.

We enjoyed our stay. The operator who checked us in Alicia, I hope I spelled that correctly. She was so very helpful. During our stay someone pulled the fire alarm, even though it was inconvenient, the staff was great about it.

Got three nights for close to $1300. Upon arrival our room keys would not work. They couldn't fix it and put us in another room which later also had issues with the keys that had to be replaced. The pullout couch had no linens and we had to make the bed ourselves. The kitchenette in our room was missing a wine opener, when we call to request one, they said for us to come down and get it cuz they were busy. Breakfast was below average and.

Property description
The Home2 Suites by Hilton is the first new construction hotel in Center City Philadelphia in 10 years and will open its doors August 2013! Our 248 suite hotel offers spacious studio and one bedroom suites and complimentary bonuses like the continental breakfast, internet access, fitness facility, and an indoor saline. The hotel was built environmentally friendly with sustainability in mind. We are conveniently located next door to the Pennsylvania Convention Center. We are also across the street from the iconic Reading Terminal Market and easily accessible via public transportation to and from airport on Septa Regional Rail. The Home2 Suites by Hilton is only 2 blocks from Market East Station. There are dozens of renowned restaurants within a short 5 minute walk or less of the hotel, not to mention all the Philadelphia area attractions.
Green sustainability
Sometimes you can see them and sometimes you can't, but sustainable elements have been incorporated into the design throughout our hotels.
The Pool-Our indoor pool is saline-based. We maintain the pools using natural minerals instead of chemicals.
Recycling-We reduce waste on property through our convenient recycling collection stations. You'll find these stations in the Oasis and on each floor of the hotel at most locations. We also provide convenient recycling containers in every suite.
In Our Kitchen-Only appliances with Energy Star ratings are used in our guest rooms. They use significantly less energy and less water than traditional appliances do.
We serve breakfast on real china to keep plastic plates and utensils out of
the landfills.
ECO-FRIENDLY construction materials are used building every Home2 Suites hotel. Including our carpeting, made out of at least 65% recycled material.
Smarter Suds-Instead of travel-sized bottles that generate extra waste, you'll find tamper-proof bulk bath amenities in our guest bathrooms. Also, our dual flush toilets use 20% less water than traditional toilets.
The Green Goes On-Some of our sustainability efforts are present in places you'd probably never notice. Countertops in the Oasis are made of 85% pre-recycled and 100% post-recycled content. Containers in the breakfast areas are made of recycled glass and renewable bamboo. Our Humanscale® desk chair is made of 98% recycled product. The landscaping around every Home2 Suites™ hotel includes indigenous-only plants, which significantly minimize water usage and irrigation needs.
