Property Description

Sherborne Motor Lodge is a 10 unit motel (self catering units)9km from Christchurch International Airport and 1km from the centre of the city.We have ten units ranging in size from STUDIOs (sleeping two on queen bed or twin beds) through to our TWO BEDROOM FAMILY unit which sleeps five (six with the addition of a folding bed).Our modern buildings have recently been re-clad in up to the minute, horizontal corrugated steel. They are quiet and nicely decorated and set in an L shape around the car park the edges of which are softened with gardens planted with New Zealand native trees and shrubs.Our rooms have well equipped kitchens with cook tops and microwave ovens. All rooms have ensuites, some have baths (some spa baths) and all have showers. All rooms have flat screen TVs and all have DVD players and Sky TV.Sherborne Motor Lodge is well placed on a tributary to the main road out of town to the north without being difficult to find from the south or west. Being only 1km from the centre of the city we are close enough to walk for those with the energy (and the time) and buses run every half hour for those who don't.For those who prefer not to use the cooking facilities in their rooms there are many choices of takeaway food and restaurants within five minutes walk. If your preference is for takeways you can choose from Chinese, fish 'n chips, Mediteranean or Domino's pizza while those seeking a good restaurant experience can chose from the local cuisine at Ballies Irish Bar or the more exotic offerings at the Thai, Indian, Japanese restaurants at the Edgeware Shopping centre.
