Situated on the edge of Oxfordshire between Swindon and Oxford, just off the A420 in the pretty market town of Faringdon, the 49 bedroomed hotel first opened for business in 1991 having been extended from an original Grade II listed 18th century house.The hotel has been thoughtfully redesigned, renovated and refurbished in 2015 to blend modern facilities with the original building and surroundings and is within access from both the M4 and M40. Nestling on the edge of the Cotswolds, in nine acres of landscaped grounds, all 49 bedrooms are ensuite and have tea and coffee making facilities, desk and work space and complimentary WiFi, making this an ideal place to stay for both business and leisure.Our brand new brasserie restaurant overlooks the rear gardens and offers a varied menu to suit all tastes and dietary requirements and we also have a number of rooms that can be used for private dining, meetings and events, or you can choose to relax in our lounge and bar area, serving light meals or if the weather is nice, dine al fresco on our patio. With a feature open kitchen and wood burning stove, you can watch the chef's cook your meal in front of your very eyes.As well as the brasserie, we can offer an alternative dining experience in Restaurant 56. This restaurant is situated in the old house and offers a unique evening with fine dining menus including a la carte and tasting menus created by our award winning Head Chef, Andrew Scott.Sudbury House is a perfect venue for weddings, christenings, meetings, celebrations and events or just simply to enjoy a night or two away from it all.
