Property Description
Sasquatch Crossing Eco Lodge B&B is a beautiful, award winning 10,000 sq. ft. heritage home B&B owned by operated by Sts'ailes (formerly the Chehalis Indian Band) and is hosted by Denny (Denise) and Al Stobbart. Situated on 87 forested acres in B.C's lush Fraser Valley, the house was constructed in 1903 and was restored and converted to a B&B in the late 1990's.Steeped in local and First Nation history, our "Gem in the Woods" features 9 unique guest rooms, gourmet kitchen and breakfast area, available meeting room facilities/formal dining room, library, sitting room with fireplace, full-sized billiards table, large veranda and seasonal salt water pool. SCEL is ideal for couples getaways, smaller family reunions or weddings and intimate retreats. The peace and quiet which surrounds us ensures few distractions aside from hummingbirds and the leaves rustling in the breeze. Found on our expansive grounds are numerous walking/jogging paths, a meditation labyrinth, creek, waterfall and we are immediately adjacent to the 430 acre Harrison River Conservation and other vast wilderness areas. Spawning salmon are normally visible in our creek from October thru January. The many nearby attractions showcase the natural outdoors we are so fortunate to live in with something for nearly everyone's taste and ability.We are proud to have recently receive a "Gold" award by "Green Tourism Canada" for our high commitment to both environmental and cultural sustainability. Our pool and house are powered by the micro-hydro power system that has been in place now for over a half a century and which supplies 90% of our electrical and heating needs. A large organic garden supplements our breakfast and catering preparations with fresh fruit and produce and we follow and promote the Three Rs (Recycle, Reuse and Reduce.) SCEL has an overwhelming connection to the local native Sts'ailes community with artwork on display which support and protect cultural and natural initiatives.Sasquatch Crossing Eco Lodge B&B offers complimentary full breakfasts to all our overnight guests and we have advance notice in-house catering options available for coffee breaks, lunches and dinners for groups of 6-24 which require meeting room bookings. We have ample space to host tented events on our grounds with outside caterers available. Please feel free to discuss meeting/catering details and see what we might accommodate.
