"Overall it was a hostile unwelcoming environment."

Check in area was like a county jail booking area only smaller. Clerks kept heavy shutter down after we pressed the service buzzer for several minutes as the chatted and laughed over, a personal matter. When your clerk finally appeared she was cold and abrupt with us. Never have I ever had such a long list of guest restrictions and rules read to me. Read just like a head jailer to a new inmate. We booked out reservation on line at $70 plus a fee for two kittens. Our bill was over $150. Who pocketed the extra?? I asked for a luggage cart as we had several items that needed to be stored in room. The tiny cramped entry hallway obviously did not have room for a cart. Your attendant never offered to send someone for a cart even though there was four employees hanging out in the office. Told me it might be in the public laundry room but did not feel the need to tell me where that room might be. She should have told me it was just past the motel's laundry room which I would be able to identify by the very strong order of marijuana as I passed on by. Our room was a really a surprise! That is a room more spartan than any Motel 6 ever and it cost twice as much. The tile floor was surprising, but not so much as the fact that it had not been swept and the detritus, dirt and lint was nasty and very obvious. Noticeably lacking was any form of coffee maker in the room or the lobby for that matter. No light by the bedside or alarm clock, the are probably included in the $200 a night rooms. y We had driven 600 miles that day and were very tired. After tracking down the one luggage cart and returning with our gear, I could not find my room key card. Turns out it was high in my front pocket and I did not feel it when I was patting my self down. Your lobby attendant was not at all understanding when I requested another key to get into my $150 dirty floor suite. Her only remark was, "If you forget it again, I will charge you $10!" Never in decades of travel have I ever heard such a threat for being locked out. There was a large ventilation pipe going part way up the outside of the building from the ground near the corner of our room. The loud humming it produce was distracting enough but the heavy vibration it produced was clearly felt even while lying in bed. I was not amazed when the lobby clerk dismissed my inquiry as petty. A pink hair, spandex wearing, obviously a hooker was let in by a person who looked like an employee using a key card. The "Lady" went right to the elevator as she appeared to have someplace she needed to be. She looked noticeably nicer the the rest of the motels occupants, however. A scary, dirty, hostile, cheap, mean spirited flea bag of a motel. A one rating is too, too high. Put me down for a 0.1. Feel free to call me, Lee, at 605 380 9072.
