We had a room inside the hotel there are also rooms outside. Our room and bathroom were very spacious, we had tea, coffee, biscuits and even an ironing board! Well done to the housekeeping team for maintaining high standards of cleanliness. The breakfast was plentiful with a good selection, food and drinks were replenished quickly by the waitstaff, very friendly and efficient. Parking was an added bonus in the hotel and the receptionist kindly let us stay for a few hours after check out for a wander around the town. Overall a very happy stay and will definitely be back!

The Chequers Hotel was an 18th century coaching Inn and now provides excellent hotel accommodation in Newbury's town centre.Located in the heart of the Thames Valley, and only five minutes from junction 13 of the M4, The Chequers provides an ideal venue for a business stays, meetings, conferences or training courses.Our 56 well-appointed en-suite bedrooms are all fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, trouser press, television, direct dial telephone and modem point. You can also take advantage of our 24 hour room service.The hotel is also a popular venue for wedding receptions, christenings and wakes, private lunches and dinners, and Christmas parties.
