Surrounded by typical houses of the period, small lane ways and piazzas, and free of urban traffic, the Hotel offers a relaxing and welcoming stay in a refined and comfortable ambiance. Fact Sheet Hotel Name: Hotel Villa Meligunis Category: 4 stars How to arrive: By car: to Milazzo from Messina- a distance of 40km - highway A20; from Palermo- a distance of 200 km - highway A19; from Catania- a distance of 130 km – highway A18. When exiting at Milazzo tollgate proceed to the port via the secondary highway following the signage.By train: arrival at Milazzo station where there is a regular bus service to the port.By hydrofoil, fast boat or ferry ship: numerous daily connections from the port of Milazzo and Messina, and less frequent connections from Palermo and Naples.By plane: there are frequent connections from Catania's Fontanarossa airport to the port of Milazzo using scheduled private bus-shuttle services or by car with driver by appointment.Location: situated 50 metres from the small port of Marina Corta in the middle of the historic centre; 350 metres from the beach of Porto delle Genti; and 1200 metres from the commercial port of Marina Lunga where the fast boats, hydrofoils and ferry ships arrive.Building: the Hotel is an elegant villa of the eighteenth century carefully and sensibly restored and enlarged in 1974 with the addition of a new wing. The last restoration in 2004 included the addition of a rooftop panoramic swimming pool.Rooms: 43 in total, comprising double, triple and quadruple occupancy and offering standard, classic, superior, deluxe, junior suite and suite room types, along with 4 rooms for disabled guests.Room amenities: all rooms have a bathroom or shower room with telephone, hairdryer, magnifying makeup mirror and guest soap kit diversified for each room type. Moreover each room has a telephone, satellite TV, bar fridge, safe, air-conditioning/heating individually regulated and Internet connection via cable. Superior rooms have sun terraces (approx.20 sqm), deluxe rooms have views to the sea and the “Castello”, the junior suite has also a sitting area, the classic suite has separate bed and sitting rooms and double bath/shower room, the superior suite has separate bed and sitting rooms, double bath/shower room, terrace with sea and “Castello” views. The guest soap kit for the two suites is enriched with products based on the natural essences and thermal waters of the Aeolian Islands.
