I would highly recommend this hotel. The proprietor is fantastic and extremely accommodating. Really nice to talk to. I was there on an extended stay and my room was very well appointed and I was extremely comfortable. The location is right on the edge of Rittenhouse which means that you are close to the restaurants near the square, but just as close to the hip restaurant scene on 13th street. It is also right in the middle of the shopping district and right near the theater. If you like Belgian beer and mussels, it is adjacent to Monk's cafe and right around the corner is great Mexican food. If she has space I would tell you to book with the Dwight D.

The Dwight D, a city house hotel, is a 5000 sq. ft. boutique hotel located on South 16th Street, just below Locust St., in center city Philadelphia, PA. The boutique hotel is located in a historic brownstone which formerly housed the Eisenhower Fellowships organization.The Dwight D's location in the heart of Philadelphia makes it an ideal hotel destination for both tourists and business travelers-the hotel is two blocks from The Avenue of the Arts and The Kimmel Center, two blocks from Rittenhouse Square, and within walking proximity to The Philadelphia Convention Center and the historic district including Independence Mall and the Liberty Bell.The Dwight D has 7 spacious guest rooms: 2 extended stay apartments w/ kitchenettes and full baths; 4 guest rooms w private bathrooms; and 1 suite w/ 1.5 baths and a den. The hotel also features a lounge, a dining/conference room, an additional small conference room, and a garden.This property offers unique options including rental of individual rooms in a guest house atmosphere, rental of the property as a whole to sleep up to 18, or rental of event space only without any guest room or overnight accommodations.
