"Recent five day four night."

Having stayed at this hotel before we had no problems rebooking for our recent visit to Pawcatuck, Rhode Island. However, we were taken aback by the casual way the hotel was informing their visitors about the recent changes because of the Covid 19 situation. We arrived late in the evening and after checking in and being told that there was no breakfast but they were providing a breakfast bag between 6 and 10:00 am, we went to our room which was vast and unwelcoming. In the morning we left the hotel and went out for breakfast. We returned late in the evening, went up to our room and nothing had been done. No room service and the bed was unmade. I called the front desk only to be told that you could have your name put on a list and the room would be serviced the next day. The following day, we took our breakfast bag and left for the remainder of that day, which I requested and the manager on duty, confirmed. Returning late again that evening, we found that the room was, yet again in the same condition that it had been when we had left. Nothing had been done. A little irate at this point, I called again and was reassured that the room would be taken care of the following day, our last full day. It finally was. When we checked out my husband spoke to the Manager, who said that she would give us a 10% discount. She said that we should have been told all these changes to their usual routines, when we had checked in, which we weren't. So all in all, we were very disappointed with the entire stay.

The staff was very pleasant and polite. The room was on the smaller size. Due to COVID19 the amenities (pool, fitness room) were first come first serve. Breakfast was not served, have to ask front desk to get a continental breakfast if you wish to have one. Renovations were being conducted the whole stay. Several times the smell of weed was being smoked in the parking lot as well as one night in the hallway during our stay. Overall good experience, but not recommended for a stay longer than one to two nights.
