After a flight that lasted 6 hours longer than I planned, I decide to stay in Charlotte rather than risk the windy mountain roads to Boone in the dark and rain. Having had nothing to eat all day, after getting my key, I went to the Waffle House across the street since it was the only place open at midnight. When I came back to haul all my stuff up to the room, I discovered that the key did not work. After schlepping back down to get the correct key, I found a room where the outlet didn't work for my CPAP. In the morning I discovered there was no body wash in the shower. All of that was just inconvenient, but then I received a fraud alert from my credit card. Apparently they tried to charge me $55 more than the rate I had booked at. We spent hours trying to get it all straightened out. We finally got it so that we paid only $145 as originally agreed. After all that they should have paid us for the trouble. have no desire to do that again.

I really enjoyed my stay. Customer service is always a plus for me and front desk workers go over and beyond. Breakfast was good and at a good price. I enjoyed my French toast.
