"Problems with renovated room."
Overall Score4.0/ 5
When we first went to the room (621), the bellhop told us the room had just been renovated. "Just last week", according to him. While getting squared away, I discovered the wall plug by the swing mirror did not work and when I attempted to pull the charging cord out, the whole plug came out of the wall. I then plugged into the outlet under the big mirror and it did not work. I put my shampoo in the shower and when I tried to open the shower door again, it would not open. We discovered that one of the designer cracks on the vanity was IN FACT a crack. This was next to the sink. I contacted the front desk, told maintenance would be up to check the plugs and door. He remedied two of the 3. Next, I was introduced to Elijah (sp?) who, accompanied by Housekeeping, came to the room. They acknowledged the problems. Suggested another room but as we had put everything away at this point, we declined. The next morning, I took a shower and was flabergasted at the shower controls. Eventually, I was able to get water to flow only to slip on the soapy floor once off the small mat. I expressed concern to Elijah, Housekeeping brought a second mat. All this to say: we were disappointed a newly renovated room had these problems. NO ONE apparently thought about how slippery the shower floor would be; no one checked the wall plugs; no one gave a rip about the vanity being cracked; and, no one apparently thought that a guest would put it in writing. I apologize for taking a week to respond but I was at war with myself about responding. Knowing we paid for the room, had to have repairs/maintenance performed and that was it. Personnel we interacted with were great. The restaurant was very good and everyone there was GREAT, servers and hostess. I believe the two I really want to mention are Elizabeth and Randy. The guys in Valet were great. Overall, the experience was good but the maintenance problems, not so good.
