The Hotel Mark Twain is a small, casual, comfortable hotel in the heart of San Francisco. Their main feature is their location - the hotel is walking distance (just a few blocks) from Union Square, the cable cars on Powell, and the Moscone Convention Center. The accommodations are simple, and have a cozy, homey feel to them. The price is very fair for the location, and the staff is friendly. This will not be the hotel you hang out in during your trip, but it will be a comforting place to come back to at the end of the day. I was also pleasantly surprised by their on-site restaurant and bar, which seems like a solid, trendy place to have dinner. Don't forget to ask a staff member about their 'secret garden' - a little urban oasis hidden in the back of the hotel.

Kellie was fantastic in making our NYE experience and stay a sensational one. The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are extremely polite and helpful. The location for our group was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.
