The staff in your hotel was exceptional….the wait staff was so attentive and kind…Your personnel, I.e., Tim, was awesome…we kept going bk to him whenever we had a question! It had been 50 years since we had stood up for our best man's wedding and his wife at The Drake…it was wonderful to see they still do everything with care, promptness and class….thank you, thank you, for making our nieces wedding celebration exceptional! I'm so happy I chose The Drake! The staff display an authenticity that aligns with the spirit of the hotel. The Drake food is amazing. Dinner here while staying and room service was quite cordial. I WILL BE BACK. I even stayed an extra day and was surprised I got the same room for the same price.

I have a problem. I originally made reservations for one room. Then I called the hotel to add a room and request adjoining rooms. I didn't realize that the number from google was not the hotel but a 3rd party provider. They charged me 500 per room more than the original reservation was for. What can be done e about this? This was the second time in as many years that a train delay required me to layover in Chicago. And on as many occasions The Drake has handled my rather short notice need exceptionally well! It is a GRAND Hotel with a rich history! The rooms are well furnished, the staff is excellent, close to downtown shopping and eateries and the atmosphere is magnificent, particularly during the holiday season, which, on both occasions, I stayed. I can't say enough great things about the hotel. Just let me say, instead of having to make an "emergency stay" there, next time I'll "plan" a stay. Also, a VERY special shout out to the young server at the Coq d'Or who picked up my jacket with my wallet in it and took it to hotel Security! You ABSOLUTELY saved my trip! I hope you are still there when I next return. I wish I remembered your name so I could make my thank you personal. He knows who he is and so I hope my THANK YOU reaches him!

The service was exemplary; everyone from the doorman to the waitresses to the maids was full of holiday cheer and graciousness. Your hotel itself was dressed up like a Currier and Ives painting; delightful to stroll through and enjoy the holiday exhibits. Since my sister lives across the street at 950 Michigan the Drake is where we'll stay whenever we return to Chicago. Congratulations for adding significantly to our best holiday stay ever.
