The Springmaid is located on 27 private acres and is located at the south end of Myrtle Beach on their own road. Check in is in a separate building which is beautifully appointed with a beautiful front desk and excellent customer service. The lobby has a large screen tv which is availble to search local attractions and coupons for printing. Adjacent to the Registration building is a free 18 hole putt putt course for guests and an arcade room. The resort is located on the beach and has three buildings with guest rooms. The conference center can accommodate large groups. All rooms are exterior entrance and have ocean views. The smaller building first floor does allow pets under 35 lbs. Guest rooms were very clean with king or two queen beds, small table with two chairs, counter with microwave and a full sized refrigerator. The rooms are nice and fresh with white linens and a small closet area to hang cloths. Iron, ironing board and wall mounted hair dryer in the room. The hotel has 8 hospitality suites which are very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and a connecting room. These are available for an additional charge. The resort has six swimming pools, featuring two lazy rivers, their own private pier, two restaurants and exercise room. The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet daily and is nicely appointed. The Sandwich shop/lounge is located at the base of the pier. The restaurant serves hot dogs to crab legs and is excellent. The pier has been awarded as Myrtle Beaches #1 Fishing Pier. Next to the gift shop is a tackle shop in which you can rent bait and tackle. A Museum is located across the street, and restaurants are within driving distance to the resort. The overall experience of this resort was fantastic with a beautiful remote and private setting. The customer service is impeccable, and the peacefulness of the area, gives this Myrtle Beach vacation resort our “highest” of recommendations.
