Upon entering our room we discovered no AC. Desk clerk said we could use a fan in the window. And surely here all the noise from the parking lot. We did not stay. Went to Motel 6.

First off, Super 8 partner, Expedia, booked the room for us via phone. The agent ripped us off by charging a 100$ commission fee to our credit card. Couldn't get any help from owners of hotel. Hotel was a dump not worth $130 per night. Toilet ran all night. No shower curb so water ran onto the floor while showering. The entire place is in disrepair. Continuously locked out because key card wouldn't hold code. Sink faucet handle swung all the way backwards so water couldn't be turned off. Charged 15$ per night per dog pet fee. Bringing our total to 272$ for two nights. Our credit card was charged 384$. Owner said he would meet us at 6am for check out as my husband had to be back to work that day. He never showed up so we could do a walk through of the room before we left so we wouldn't be fraudulently charged $150 damage fee for dogs. He never showed. Employee would not walk through the room with us. She refused to give me my ID back because I refused to signed for partial receipt. I asked for complete hotel receipt to show my bank so I could have proof of credit card over charges. She refused to provide one. We refused to sign and couldn't leave without my ID. Police were called. We explained what was going on. They called the owner who told employee to give us receipts but refused to come inspect the room with us there. Police made employee give me back my ID. Employee called Expedia who said it was a booking agent that Expedia contracts with as a 3rd party and that Expedia was only paid 272$. Still no resolve. Disputing charges through my bank. Total shit show. Total fraud. Hotel is in cahoots and probably getting kick backs for overcharging. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Worst experience of my life. Steer clear as these are skilled rip offs.

We stopped while traveling up the coast. Staff are very friendly. Room was standard. There was a random cleaning bucket in the room and it left a weird smell but not enough for us to complain. Breakfast was pretty standard. Overall, could be cleaner.
