Verified Reviews of Rodeway Inn Flagstaff Downtown

Below are the verified reviews from guests that we have booked recently:
"Dirty carpet; broken bathroom door; not enough towels for two people and towel rack is falling off t"
Overall Score1.0/ 5
Horrible. We had disabled plates on our vehicle and the owners waited for us to leave to park their vehicle which was ineligible to park in handicapped parking space. We had to go to the Residence Inn to get temp parking permit for parking as the hotel lobby was full. I almost called the pol5to report their illegal parking but decided to let it go. This hotel is not customer centric and provides unsuitable rooms to stay in. I wouldn't recommend or even let our dogs stay there. Totally dissatisfied especially for the rental price they charge. Comparable to a flop house in the hood.

The room was very nice and clean and well equipped. The gentleman in the office helped us to find a place to eat that was close by.

"Very Challenging"
Overall Score2.0/ 5
The coffeemaker I requested was missing the tray that holds the coffee filters, rendering it unuseful. It took two days to get a blow dryer and then it wouldn't work. The parking spaces are small and inadequate. The middle aged woman at the front desk (I believe she is an owner) was unfriendly and stingy. Our room had only one single serve coffee filter. When I went to the front desk to request more, she would only giive.

"I would give it a 0 if I could."
Overall Score1.0/ 5
This place was disgusting, unsanitary, filthy and people should not be able to stay here. The woman at the front desk (supposed owner) is extremely rude and totally unhelpful. I booked using Priceline two days ahead, explained everything, he put notes into the computer to notify the "hotel" that I would arrive late. When I arrived, I was given dirty looks and treated very poorly at the front desk for waking the woman up. She told me there is no way I could stay there until I agreed to pay more money for an additional night since I arrived in the middle of the night. I told her about booking and what I was told, she told me it's my fault for booking with a 3rd party. I get to my room after being yelled "goodnight!" At after paying for the room to sleep for a few hours. Mind you, I was apologizing profusely and thanking her for waking up at two am and booking me despite her not wanting to. I walk into the room, first thing I notice is the smell of cat spray and two tiny beds. I had a total of four people and a baby staying and the "queen" sized beds were full sized and too small. I slept on a filthy floor as to not wake the woman again. I figured, ull deal with it in the morning when they move me to the room with two queen beds as booked. There were wires coming out of the walls, it looked like a toddler painted the room, there was barely any space to move around in, the bathroom was filthy, toilet was covered in urine and mold, sink was broken, all window locks were broken, including the bathroom window leading into a dark alley. Get to the front desk the next morning to see about moving to the room with the bigger beds only to be told I'm not getting a different room and there are two queen beds in the room. We argue about the size of the beds when she says a full xl is the same size as a queen and I don't know what I am talking about. She proceeds to tell me the third party didn't put the right amount of people on the booking, so she charges me 50 extra to move me into their large room with queen and king sized beds. Proceed to this room. ok, not too bad, it smells better and looks a little cleaner at first glance. Sit on the bed and the comforter is covered in human bodily fluids, blood and body hair. I go down stairs and am told that I am wrong, they are clean, so I take them down to show her, after putting gloves on, I take them down to her and show her. So she gives me the extra blankets I requested. I an told no more towels, despite only have three in the room and five people, because they went "green" and only change your linens once every three days during your stay. Get back to the motel to see there is absolutely no parking and they don't have extra parking for all of their rooms,, park a few blocks away and walk to the room room with four kids. I got there that evening with cleaning supplies, to disinfect and clean because the bathroom and everything is filthy. Only to find the front door doesn't lock due to it being kicked in and breaking the locks, the adjoining door to the room next door was barely attached to the slide lock by one screw. It just kept getting worse and worse, you can't make this stuff up. I have plenty of pictures in my phone and could go on and on about how awful this place was. I felt safer when we all went out and slept in the car. Thank God my husband had a gun, I was afraid to stay in the rooms there.

"I had to move furniture to plug everything in and could not get the heater to work."
Overall Score2.0/ 5
Very nice people, clean room, but just a bit too minimal. No counter around the sink to put anything on; the heater did not work; I had to move furniture to find and plug in the microwave and move the coffee maker to plug it in by the nightstand. The TV channel (CBS) was constantly blurry/snowy. I am comparing this to other places at the same price and these rooms should be cheaper based on that.

"Tiny rooms and expensive."

"Tiny and overpriced."
Overall Score2.0/ 5
Everything about this hotel is tiny and overpriced. The rooms are barely wider than the bed and the bathrooms are closet sized, yet the price is still three times what it should be. The WiFi doesn't work either.
