Property Description
Built in 1917, HI Little Rock Firehouse Hostel & Museum is the renovated old Fire Station #2, a beautiful Craftsman-style building located in historic MacArthur Park in downtown Little Rock. HI Little Rock Firehouse Hostel & Museum is a 36-bed hostel that provides safe and affordable housing for travelers as well as doubles as a museum of firefighting history and memorabilia that promotes fire safety. It is the first non-profit hostel in Arkansas and is managed by Hostelling Arkansas, Inc., a non-profit which has been working to preserve and renovate the building since 2006 through a creative partnership with the City of Little Rock, which owns the building.

Looking for a unique event space with character and history? This 100-year-old fire station has now been converted into a 36-bed hostel, firefighting history museum, and community space. The event space is located within the ground floor of the museum and our seating spaces have been repurposed from aspects of the original fire station; the fire pole is still here but has been turned into a table piece and the building''s original doors now serve as dining tables! Our museum lobby can hold up to 100 people and has seating for 30 (more space for chairs/tables is available). We have a kitchen with a commercial fridge, ice machine, toaster, coffee maker, induction burners, and a microwave as well as dishes and silverware for 40 people. We also have a stainless steel island on wheels as well as a rolling bar top. There is a guest computer and printer as well as wifi throughout the building and parking in the surrounding beautiful park for up to 100 vehicles.
