Thank you for your interest in The Cottages at Camp Lucy for your stay in Dripping Springs, gateway to the Texas Hill Country. Named for owner Whit's mom, Lucy Hanks, the Camp Lucy property, has been in our family for more than 30 years and we're so pleased to share it with you. Our “luxe rustic”rooms were created to combine the sophisticated style and warm hospitality of the Hill Country with world-class luxuries and modern amenities. In addition to relaxing and enjoying activities here on the property, we are also ideally located near wineries, breweries, and a host of Hill Countryactivities.For those interested in exploring the Camp Lucy property, we have paths and walking trails throughout our 300 acre ranch — perfect for a relaxing or invigorating walk or jog. You may even come upon what the Hays County Historical Commission has pronounced to be the biggest live oak in the county (at least until they find a bigger one).Beyond the cottages and venue areas, most of the property is actively managed to protect and foster native Texas wildlife — white-tailed deer, songbirds, and native wildflowers and grasses. Fellow birdwatchers, keep your eyes and ears open for a gaggle of wild turkeys!Finally, don't forget a scrumptious complimentary breakfast awaits you in the Lodging Office every morning from 7am–10am, and our community fire pit in the evening offers a relaxing place to take in our famous Texas Hill Country sky. We have bird watching binoculars available to check-out, aswell as books and DVDs for those who want to snuggle in and relax.
