When I was checking in I discovered I didn't have my drivers license. I was so upset trying to find it. I was exhausted, needing to just get to my room and sleep. The desk attendant walked over and checked to see if the room was ready, reassured me that I could just relax and rest. She helped me carry in my bags and asked if there was anything else she could do. I so appreciated her sensitivity and kindness at that moment. Next morning I was at the DMV replacing the lost drivers license so I could drive home to San Diego. I had come to Merced to spend the weekend with my family for the first time in over 20 years. It had been such a great time until I was about the depart. I was able to sleep and be ready for the long drive back down to San Diego which on that day took over 9 hours because of traffic. I am home for Christmas and very grateful for the attendant who made my day when I checked in on Sunday evening. Please recognize her for the valuable employee that she is to your hotel. Thank you.
