Parking Info
The Society Hotel is centrally located to virtually all transit in Portland. Trimet, our local transit system is one of the best in the nation, with a $5 daily pass or $2.50 for 2.5 hours. The fare works for all busses, MAX trains, and street cars. Bus Lines and Yellow + Green Light Rail (MAX) lines run on 5th+6th Avenues. Additional Red + Blue MAX lines run on 1st avenue. The MAX red line offers a 40-45 minute ride from the airport and the Old Town/Chinatown red line MAX stop is a two block walk to the hotel. The Greyhound bus station is 4 blocks away, and the Amtrak station a block further. Street parking is hourly pay during the day and is free from 7pm until 8am most nights, Friday and Saturday nights being the exception, as nearby streets are closed to vehicle traffic from 10pm until 4am to allow pedestrian and taxi traffic only. We also recommend a covered parking garage called Smart Park on NW 1st and Davis, which has some of the best rates downtown. Ride sharing like Uber & Lyft
