If you're going to make the stop or be in Charlaton, you mine as well stay at Embassy Suites. The service was great, rooms were clean and breakfast was great with many options including a custom egg/omelet option. The only drawback was that they show a hot tub on their photos and need to remove that as we specifically picked this place for having one for our son who loves them. For the money, this is definitely an upper feel than your normal Holiday Inn.

Embassy suites is a great value for families. Rooms are suites, so kids slept in the "living room" with pull out couch, which let them have their own space. Free snacks and drinks in the evening and an expansive breakfast buffet are great money savers while traveling. Rooms are clean. They have coffee in the lobby.
