Our accommodations at the Quality Inn University Area in South Bend were adequate. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast selections were great and staff was friendly! Also a GREAT location!

My stay here has been nothing but the absolute best hotel that I've ever stayed in. I been around the country here and there for over 40 yrs now, simply best! Clean, very organized, detailed, excellent customer service and staff that actually go out of their way to accommodate every guest!

This hotel was one of the only available for a pet friendly room on our road trip home. While the staff was friendly, I would not recommend staying in this hotel. There was a substantial amount of trash/litter in the hall way as we approached our room. In our room, there were crumbs on the floor, cigarette burns in the carpet and stains on the linens. It did not feel clean at all. We would not stay here again.

My room had a broken hinge on the toilet seat, which and no TV remote. Both items should have been noted by the housekeeper who cleaned he room prior to my stay and reported it to maintenance for correction. Also, the parking lot wasn't plowed on the day I checked out.

When we stayed the first night, the young gentleman at the front was rude and not pleasant. We asked for our room to be cleaned the following day, and there was a red, looked like a blood stain, on one of the pillows. There was mold forming in the bathroom, with a slightly broken shower head.

Food and beds were good. The bathrooms seem dated and not clean. Didn't feel comfortable enough to take a shower. We had to conserve using towels since they only give new ones only every three days.

Once we had sorted out the issues we found in three of our rooms (rooms dirty, plumbing not working, etc.) the rest of our stay was great. The staff was pleasant and willing to help and our students really appreciated the indoor pool in which we had a great time.
