My partner and I booked this location for one night to have an easy stay down the road from a wedding we were attending. The location is ideal and it appealed to us greatly. We were attracted to its accessibility and breakfast accommodations. However, we were unaware that breakfast ended at 8:30. There is a board in the front kitchen that has check in cards and info listed. This wasn't something we knew to look out for and we unknowingly glanced over it. I came out for breakfast 15/20 minutes late and the staff did not want to accommodate us with breakfast. I take responsibility for being late however, showing your guests an act of kindness and good customer service would've been appreciated. We paid for both bed and breakfast and and we could've been offered something to eat. I was basically met with a ?too bad, so sad? response. There were no signs in the kitchen to inform guests that they were unable to cook. I found the staff upset by me making myself a meal. The staff informed me that I should've received multiple emails about my stay including parking, breakfast, phone numbers etc. I received one single email that only listed our room number, address and a one 800 trip advisor number. Within the email were generated responses to frequently asked questions that informed customers to refer to ?hotels front desk.? We did not wish to inflict confusion or disrespect onto the property owners but we did feel we were being treated unfairly. It is a lovely property and ideal for a weekend stay. In the future I hope staff can overlook situations like this and try to offer support. If they had been willing to help us out and been kind enough to simply offer a piece of toast this review could've easily gone from ?okay? to ?great.?.
