"Happiest people on earth!"

The hotel itself is clean but old and is fine. The staff put it over the moon! People who stay here are usually visiting someone at Duke, or having serious testing done and it's hard but they are genuinely positive, upbeat people. That makes such a difference. Stay here to lighten your day.

My husband and I stayed here for the night because he was having surgery at Duke the next day. At check in, the staff was totally welcoming, down to earth and professional. The rooms were exceptionally clean and we recommend The Lodge for your place of rest whether you're staying one night or five nights. And to boot,the hospital was in walking distance.

"No rest after a lot of stress."

The cost was too much. Doors were slamming all night long we did not get the rest we needed for our ride home. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 10:56, I had to 11:00a to get out. My stays at your establishment in the past have been excellent so I was very disappointed especially for the money I paid.
