The day we arrived we booked via phone, gave our payment info and received a confirmation email. Upon arrival however we were told we actually booked for a red roof that no longer existed. Even though the now “days inn” was located in the former red roof building and we booked with them over the phone, they had our reservation but we were told we had not paid for our room. The money was not taken from my account and I paid for the room now through days inn. The attendant at the counter was trying to help us but the manager was very rude and did nothing to help us or the attendee. Both of them left to smoke cigarettes before this situation was resolved. After our first night both of our hotel keys got shut off even though we paid for two nights, our sheets were laying in the hallways for 10 hours as hotel attendants stepped over our laundry rather than take it to laundry. Our friends who were staying in another room and ran out of towels repeatedly put up the “maid service requested” sign just for the hotel manager to turn the sign around and ignore them. Upon going to the front desk to ask if we could get fresh towels and someone to take our sheet that was dirty, we were told they didn't have any towels. We also asked for a large trash bag as the trash cans were too small and we had to be let back into our room. The elderly attendant slammed his hand on the desk in frustration at having to help us. The whole hotel smelled like smoke because the employees were smoking in the hallways. Overall not impressed, I'm sure you can find something still cheaper with better environment and service.

I prepaid for our room for a king bed. When I arrived to check in, the girl told me they only had double beds. I told her that I had paid for a king bed on my paperwork. All the sudden she had a king bed available. I was not very happy. There were roaches crawling on the floors, door and in the lamp shades.

The water in the shower was luke warm at best. There was a hair in my bed when I turned down my sheets. The breakfast was full of carbohydrates. There may have been protein earlier but it wasn't there when we went to breakfast.

Admittedly, we chose this facility due to the pricing and location to the destination wedding that we were attending. Upon check in, the hotel did not have one of our room reservations (could have been the fault of hotel or the 3rd party tie the not). Our second reservation had issues also. Ava, did a nice job in helping us to rectify the situation. Our room was okay, but we did have to ask for a waste basket. Unfortunately, the water in the shower was not even lukewarm when we showered and the toilet handle not work properly (we had to pull the chain in the tank). No, we did not bring this to the attention of the staff. Based on our experience here, we most likely would not stay in another Red Roof Inn.

I choose to stay at this hotel because it was the only affordable one by the beach during the summer. Because of the price I was afraid it would be a run down hotel with drug addicts, but that was not the case at all. The rooms are very clean and spacious and the staff are very friendly. I booked the hotel on line and mistakenly thought I got a room with a fridge, but I didn't. The manager Mr. Lee came up to me and asked how my stay was going and I told him about the fridge mishap so he had a mini fridge sent to my room! They even offer fresh coffee 24/7. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and I would stay here again!

Staff was very warm and helpful. Room was clean .but bathroom was a mess. sink wouldnt drain.and if you shut the bathroom door..you had to KICK it open..not safe considering we were in a handicapped room..no soundproofing..had to call front desk at 1:45AM..because the TV next door was so loud I could actually understand what was being said..also..people were laughing and hollering. .
