Property Description
La Sovana Country Relais is located in Sarteano (Tuscany), in province of Siena, 1.6 km from the Chiusi-Chianciano exit of the A1 motorway. Halfway between Florence and Rome, both within one hour and a half driving, La Sovana is situated in a strategic point to visit all the main highlights of Valdorcia and Valdichiana like Pienza, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni and Montepulciano. In just a few kilometers you can also reach Umbria, another wonderful Italian region, with the towns by the Lake Trasimeno, Perugia and Orvieto. 7 km from Chiusi railway station, you can reach Florence and Rome (by train) in just over an hour. Giuseppe Olivi and his wife Giovannella, who runs the hotel since 1992, are ready to welcome all their guests in the respect of the traditional Tuscan style. In this spectacular setting of these stone houses with wooden beams and terracotta floors, you can also enjoy local dishes expertly prepared by Giovannella and her staff, who choose every day the high-quality materials, with a great care for organic products from our garden and at zero kilometer.
