Built in 1771, the Whitlock was one of the first inns built in northern Massachusetts when original owner, John Whitlock, opened his home to passing stagecoach travelers seeking a sanctuary from the Berkshire pines. In the decades since, this elegant two story farm-house has maintained glints of the gilded age elevated with modern amenities throughout the 30 guest rooms and expansive grounds.
