The first room was filthy. There was mold all over the the room. The second room felt better, but before I could lay down anything, I had to wipe everything down with disinfectants. When I went to use the hand towel, it was stained. One of the lampss had a nonworking bulb in it. I felt so unclean that I could not use the tub. It looked clean, but I was not gong to take a chance. There was also dead bugs in both rooms. This is not the firswt time that I have encountered these conditions at this property. I thought that after all the years that I had avoided this property that they would be better, but they were worse. When I went to get ice, the window seals on the laundry room was dirty and the blinds were broken and dirty. The area where the ice machine was in felt dirty and you could see the dust accumulating. This made me glad that I did not have one of those rooms.

The Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is ideally located off Interstate 59 and Interstate 20, only two miles from the University of Alabama and University Mall. This Tuscaloosa hotel is also close to Lake Lurleen State Park, Moundville Archaeological Park, DCH Regional Medical Center, the Bryant Conference Center and the Paul W. Bryant Museum. Special features and amenities include free deluxe continental breakfast, free coffee in the lobby and free local calls. Guests are invited to relax by the seasonal outdoor pool. All spacious guest rooms feature cable television with HBO, coffee makers, refrigerators and microwaves. In addition to standard amenities, some rooms have hair dryers.
