Pleasant hotel atmosphere in an interesting small city, room with a fridge, a bathtub (a good one and clean) a comfortable bed. I did not use the dining room, but the menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner looked enticing. Across the street was an interesting museum where we spent quite a bit of time. The city itself and Vermont have lots of hidden treasures.

My husband has mobility issues and we had made a reservation for a handicap room. The elevators were not working and my husband had to climb 20 stair steps Extreme difficulty for him. We were not told in advance of this. The hotel blamed the company we booked our room with. The handicapped room was not accessible. He could not have a shower, impossible. The hotel did give us free a free breakfast and parking. We should have been offered a free room.

Our second holiday stay in a month at the Capital Plaza and amazed at how warm and inviting, as well as accommodating the entire staff has been. Ticks all the boxes for clean, quiet and helpful. The restaurant is amazing and since we live Montpellier, it's our favorite place to stay. Be back soon Vermont!
