At the hotel in Mackinaw city. The Manager is amazing. She knows her job and her multitasking is professionally done. The employees under her are warm and do their jobs with a smile. The room we stayed in was clean and elegant. I accidentally called some booking service and they said they were the motel then charged my credit card before I was still at home. When I finally investigate this the hotel manager explained to me that I did not talk to their hotel. When I got there she upgraded me. Because of HER and her staff we had a wonderful stay. Thank you to the hotel for taking care of us. We will be back. This time I will call direct.

All of the staff were helpful, friendly and professional. When you walk in it feels like you have stepped back into the 90's. I'm also guessing that the 90's was the last time anyone cleaned the windows…the spiderwebs were massive Even though it wasn't a modern hotel, they had decent beds, hot water, a great view and a good breakfast included Considering we did lots of exploring around the area the hotel worked for what we needed.

"Worst service ever."

The front desk manager chastised and publicly humiliated me when I asked a question about an erroneous surcharge. She refused to speak to me and would only deal with my ex husband who knew nothing about the booking. The bedside lamp could only be turned on and off by using the plug. My room had no screen door and the small patio was inhabited by a colony of orb spiders. The breakfast buffet was good but understaffed so items sometimes took awhile to be re filled. The pool was much smaller than pictured. Overall, the cleaning staff were the most professional and welcoming. I am telling my friends to avoid this hotel.
