Below is what I posted on a super 8 fb page. So far I don't have a satisfactory resolution. From it looks like to me. This Super 8 is breaking the law and penalizing people for it. I have a serious complaint about one of your super 8s. I made reservations at a super 8 in Myrtle Beach for May 4th checking out on the 5th. One of the rooms was an accessible room( I wish I took pictures). The accessible room looked like I could get into the bathroom but the problem was I couldn't get to it because there wasn't room for my wheelchair to get to it. There was a dresser with a TV on it at the foot of the bed that left no room. I showed it to one of the workers. He proceeds to tell me the only thing they can do is upgrade me to a suite ( before I let him finish I said at no additional cost right). He proceeds to tell me it would cost additional. I went on to explain so you are going to charge me more for something that is not my fault. I was expecting to pay for what I made reservations for not more. The manager there whose name is Anne Murray says it's not their fault. I told her she may not have made the reservations but her responsibility is to take care of the customer and she didn't do that.In fact I believe they are not in compliance with ADA (as in breaking the law) by not having enough room for a chair to get to the bathroom. So I told them to give me my money back. I told them I'd rather pay more somewhere else than to stay there because how they treated me. It's principle of the matter. I understand customer service. If it was my place I would have done something to make it right. I know this was not a five star hotel but every hotel that I have stayed in that I have had problems in made it right where it didn't cost me more. There was a hotel right next door Quality Inn that I checked in to that cost me 65 dollars more but it was nicer and Claudia at Quality Inn took care of me.
