Reputed to be one of the oldest inns in England, dating back as far as 1135, The Olde Bell is a beautifully restored coaching inn in rural Berkshire. The rustic-chic interiors were designed by famed designer Ilse Crawford, providing an element of modernity to the historical inn. The hotel public areas, arranged over 5 separate buildings, feature traditional open fires, a lavish bar and dining room offering a seasonal and locally sourced menu, as well as huge meadow garden to enjoy the local ales in the warmer months. There are also several meeting and event spaces, some housed in timber-framed barns, which are available for hire.The airy guestrooms are all beautifully decorated with dark wood floors, huge handmade beds and sheepskin throws.
