Rufflets, St Andrews, is one of Scotland's oldest established and highest quality country house hotels. The turreted mansion house is set in 10 acres of award-winning gardens one mile west of St Andrews and has been owned by the same family since it became a hotel. Awarded 4 Red Stars by the AA and 4 Gold Stars by VisitScotland, Rufflets remains one of the best hotels in Scotland and was awarded Scottish Hotel of the Year by the AA.

Green sustainability

Over the last 66 years, the owners and staff of Rufflets have worked to adopt best practice by developing mechanisms to conserve energy, re-cycle waste and to encourage the wild life, flora and fauna within its grounds. We take great pride in the continued efforts that we make to conserve the ever-dwindling natural resources, and at the same time look to develop the grounds and gardens so that they are a natural habitat for many of the wild birds and animals that can be seen around the property.
