The corner house hotel a former victorian bishops residence. Located on the corner of park street and the a38 wellington road. With excellent connections to main road and rail routes and is a 5 minute walk from the centre of taunton and its famous county cricket ground. The hotel is also only a 5 minute walk to musgrove park hospital and couty hall and debenhams regional offices. Comprised of 45 ensuite bedrooms many of which have been refurbished in 2015 and feature hypnos beds that are world renownded as the most comfortable beds in the world. All rooms have linen duvets ample work space refrigerators complimentary bottled water and fresh milk flat screen tvs and ensuite facilities . Free wifi available throughout the hotel. The ground floor public areas including restaurant bar and function room underwent refurbishment in 2015. The hotel restaurant has see significant changes. Guests can dine in comfort surrounded by original listed victorian features and ceiling roses of note. The well-stocked bar featuring the finest english real ales is popular with locals and guests alike. A recent addition to the hotel in 2015. Guests can relax and dine in a more informal environment and sample the delights of our traditional pub inspired menu. The function room at the corner house provides meeting space for up to 60 delegates. The hotel has on site parking. Charges are daily at GBP 5.00. The corner house is ideal base for leisure and business alike and is the perfect location for visiting many of the nearby somerset attractions or as a stopover on route to and from the cornish peninsula.
