Property Description
Perched on the banks of the River Trent, and surrounded by Derbyshire woodland, this original country retreat was built around a watermill tower (with its very own water wheels) from Norman times. As you step inside elegant and contemporary surroundings designed with minimalist simplicity, complement the historic setting. The 42 bedroom hotel features a fine dining restaurant and a more casual brasserie, a newly refurbished bar and terrace serving traditional afternoon tea, several meeting rooms, free WiFi and parking.Each of the rooms has its own character, and guests can choose from romantic suites to family rooms, executive bedrooms and quaint cottage rooms. All rooms include flat screen TVs, CD and DVD players, free high speed internet access, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathroom with luxury toiletries. Suites add river views and extra living space, while some have 4-poster beds. Fine dining is served in the in-house restaurant and during the summer months there is also the option of eating al fresco, overlooking the River Trent. Parking is available on site and is free of charge to hotel guests.
