Your hotel and grounds are beautiful! We enjoyed being there, but had some issues. On Tuesday morning, we left money for the maid. The maid emptied our garbage (left the pizza box on the floor next to the garbage can) took the money and left. Did not clean, make beds or leave clean towels. When we got back later that day, we walked in and heard the jazz music from the turn down service, they also closed our curtains, attempted to tuck the sheets of only one of the unmade beds and left only one chocolate. Strange. DJ at the front desk had Kleenex, toilet paper, clean towels and chocolates sent up. DJ did his best to be helpful. The first night we did not get turn down service at all and the 2nd night only one bed was turned down. Monday we got a pizza from the carousel bar and it was excellent. The dough was light and fluffy. Matt made the pizza and did an excellent job. You can tell he likes his job as he was dancing and singing too. He was refreshing. Because the pizza was so good, we chose to eat there for dinner on Tuesday and it was not good at all. The first pizza was over cooked and half was burnt. They made us another, which was better, but still not good. Our 2nd pizza was supposed to have basil on it and instead it had a ton of oregano on it. Our waitress said all the pizzas have oregano on them and that they were out of basil. Not sure how that happens, but you definitely can not substitute oregano for basil. Very disappointed. Then, upon checkout, we were under the assumption that our first two nights were already paid for, which is usually how it is when we order from Tickets at Work/LifeMart. Brian (I think that was his name) was less than empathetic. He spoke very bluntly and very fast. We finally saw on our email that we had not paid in advance. We apologized on our end, but again no empathy from Brian. He never said…I'm glad we got this figured out…..I'm sorry for the confusion….i hope you enjoyed your stay….please come back and stay with us again. Nothing. Not good customer service at all. Opposite of DJ who is accommodating and friendly. Again, your resort is beautiful, clean, the rooms are nice and all the flowers are beautiful. Not sure we will stay anytime soon because of some of your employees. I feel that you need to hear the good and sadly the not so good. Please give kudos to DJ and Matt.
